BMSLP Art Show ‘En Plein Air’ 

at the Gallery at L.E. Shore, September 2023

 

2023 is the 41st season of the Blue Mountain School of Landscape Painting. This year, in addition to a wonderful week of painting instruction and camaraderie, we have organized a group show at the Gallery at L. E. Shore, September 2-27, 2023. Students and instructors alike are encouraged to share the work they created in our five weeks of classes. The show will reflect a variety of mediums and abilities. Veteran artists will show alongside our newer and less experienced students. Participation is optional, although we hope everyone participates. The Artwork is not juried, all is welcome.

 

Show Requirements:

 

• Each student/instructor may submit between 1-3 pieces. The hanging crew will do their best to hang everything that is submitted, but if space becomes limited, they will hang at least one piece per person.

 

• Submitted pieces must be no larger than 16x20.  Students set their own prices, and work can also be marked ‘NFS’ (not for sale)

 

• Students wishing to participate must fill out the digital application (attached) at the end of their class and send it to thegallery@bluemountain.ca. If anyone has technical difficulties with the form, please contact Franz, at fgreenfield@bluemountains.ca. Workshop coordinators will also be available to answer any questions about the show while the classes are in session. Paper application forms are available for those without access to a computer.

 

• Application forms must be submitted to the Gallery no later than August 23rd, 2023.

 

• The Gallery will photograph submitted artwork and post online once the show has been hung.  

 

• Please read the contract (also attached), which will be filled out by BMSLP, so that you are aware of the conditions you are agreeing to.  Disregard Conditions #4 and #12 (second page). 

 

• The official intake day will be Aug. 31st. (early dates to be decided). The show runs Sept. 2-27 with the reception on Sept. 2nd.
