PETER JOHN REID - Acrylics 101 in the STUDIO -  May 31 – June 4 
Always wanted to try acrylics but don’t know how to start? Maybe you’ve used acrylics for years but just can’t seem to get the colours right. In this Acrylics 101 studio class Peter will get you started or take you to the next level. Working from Peter’s book “Acrylics”, mornings will consist of lessons, discussion and demonstrations of various techniques.  Afternoons will be spent working on your own painting with Peter’s patient and witty help.

JOHN DAVID ANDERSON    -    Oil    -    June 7 – 11 - CLASS FULL
John David Anderson uses a limited palette and a discerning eye to seek out those elements of beauty in nature wherever light touches. John will help you to pick out simple examples in our landscape and guide you to bring these images to life on your own canvas. Using John’s outdoor oil painting techniques and simplified palette, you will quickly gain confidence, completing up to two small paintings a day.

With so much wonderful scenery sometimes it’s hard to decide what to paint! Hi-Sook will demonstrate how to simplify what you see and use a limited palette to transform that view into a skillful painting. Her quick and lively teaching style keeps students inspired and excited all week long. Hi-Sook is a full time professional watercolour painter and instructor whose experience enables her to accommodate all levels of expertise.

BARRY COOMBS   -   Pen and Ink with Watercolour   -    June 21 -25 
Experience the excitement of combining pen and ink with watercolour washes. An accomplished “en plein air” instructor who has conducted workshops worldwide, Barry will demonstrate varied pen and ink techniques enhanced with watercolour washes that create memorable studies. Look forward to individual attention, constructive critiques in watercolour and drawing techniques as well as ideas on colour and composition. Personal development will be stressed.

Jake will demonstrate how to transform the beautiful Georgian Bay landscape into a transparent, light filled painting.
